Formerly recognized as one of Tarrant County's top business/commercial litigation attorneys, Mr. Higgins has also been recognized by Fort Worth Magazine as one of Tarrant County's top Mediators in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Mr. Higgins is certified as having completed all mediator training required by Chapter 154 of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code, and has received advanced mediator training through Texas Tech School of Law, the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution, Texas Wesleyan School of Law, and the Association of Attorney-Mediators. He also regularly serves as a court-appointed private mediator for courts throughout the State of Texas, and has also served as a Special Master/Master in Chancery for civil litigation matters.
Formerly a litigation partner with a large regional law firm, Mr. Higgins is a member of the State Bar of Texas, including the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections, the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Association of Attorney-Mediators, and has served as a Barrister in the Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court.
A School of Business graduate from Texas Christian University in 1985 and a School of Law graduate from Texas Tech School of Law in 1992, Mr. Higgins is blessed with a wonderful wife (Cindi) and 3 terrific children (ages 20 - 25). Interests or hobbies include baseball (including coaching and pitching instruction), golf, fishing and hunting.
